Q Pop Shop - SAT @ 7 to 10pm - JAMES BOND: 50 YEARS OF 007 ART CELEBRATION - I’ll be releasing a limited edition print - “They call me Bond-San” (Hito yonde “Bond-san” to hasshimasu - δΊΊεΌγγ§γγγγ³γγγγγ¨ηΊγγΎγγ) run of 007 in total (that’s 7!) - 18x 36 x but only 1 will be available for the moment along with a few small color tests. Painted mixed-media original - available upon request.
The piece is very special as it marks the first time in many years that any rendition of James Bond was created following Takao Saito’s original design (he created Golgo 13 some years later based on his Sean Connery/Bond work). I tried to capture that original spirit of both the films and Saito’s vibe. (along with a 60/70’s era color scheme)
The Bond logo is an inspired play off of GOLGO 13’s.
Also features my original character Tsunami Brown - a Shirley Bassey/Pam Grier/Maetel (Ge999) hybrid. (Plus Spider-Gloomy returns and a special guest appearance from David Carradine as yet to be un-named villain). Hope to see some of you there - I’m getting some tattoo work done right next door before the event so I may or may not be able to use my arm but bowing I can do!
